Expert Training: Biogas System 2026

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is pleased to announce the Call for Applications to participate in its Expert Training Programme on Biogas System Design.

Why should you consider the biogas training?

Biogas training is a worthwhile consideration due to the growing demand for renewable energy professionals, the financial and environmental benefits of bioenergy, and the career advancement in an industry with a potential for rapid expansion. Completing a biogas training program can equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot biogas systems, making them valuable assets in the renewable energy sector.

What can you expect from the Biogas training?

Biogas design training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to design, implement, and optimize systems. Participants can expect to learn about the technical aspects of biogas, including system components, chemical and mechanical design, site assessment, and energy production estimation. The training also covers practical aspects like complying with regulations, environment impact and safety.

Who will lead the course and when will it take place?

Through a series of in-person interactions over a 4-month period, participants will be guided through the course by UNIDO International and National Renewable Energy Experts.

What is the training schedule?

In 2026 we will accept 30 participants for the 2-day User Level training, and 20 candidates will move forward to the 4-day Expert Level training. Training will be delivered according to the following tentative schedule:

How much will it cost?

The training will be delivered free of charge.
